COVID-19 Update

What a week! Government mandates are changing by the hour, and we've still managed to get out 1,600 bags, two weeks worth, to prepare for the students being out of school. Now we're in the process of figuring out what the rest of the year looks like in the likely event that school does not return until Fall. Over the next week we should have a better idea of what limited food supplies and volunteer gatherings can look like for the rest of the school year. Empower Youth will continue to keep in mind changing needs and stay flexible in how we can prioritize and meet those needs.

Thank you for caring about the needs of others during tough times ahead. We look forward to your partnership as opportunities arise to help our communities manage through what is quickly becoming a historic event, disrupting us and countless others in what we do and how we do it.

Now more than ever, we appreciate your thoughts and prayers, willingness to help, doing your part to slow the spread of the virus that threatens those in poor health and hospital operations amidst the potential volume of patients, and above all not letting fear drive selfish attitudes that threaten your character and care for others.
